CHRIST: THE CONQUEROR OF DEATH
Foretold by the Prophets:“He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken (Isa 25:8 NKJV)
Defied Death:
“For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption” (Acts 2:27 NKJV).
Submitted to the Stroke of Death for Our Sins:
“and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor 15:4 NKJV).
Three Times He Entered Into The Realms Of Death, And Rescued Victims:
“But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose” (Matt 9:25 NKJV).
“Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother (Luke 7:14-15 NKJV).
“Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go" (John 11:43-44 NKJV).
Demonstrated His Victory By His Resurrection:
“and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Rom 1:4 NKJV).
Carries The Keys Of The Grave In His Girdle:
“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death (Rev 1:18 NKJV).
He Will (One Of These Days) Call All The Dead Out From The Grave To Life:
“Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth — those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28-29 NKJV).
He Will Completely (100%) Destroy Death At Last:
”For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death” (1 Cor 15:25-27 NKJV)
