THE PRECIOUS JESUS CHRIST

THE PRECIOUS JESUS CHRIST

He is the Fairest among Ten Thousand:

“My beloved is white and ruddy, Chief among ten thousand” (Song 5:10 NKJV).
He is ruddy with fine appearance and handsome features. There are two major imageries in the expression: “chief among the ten thousand” and “altogether lovely of verse 16”. These are oriental imageries used traditionally by the Jews; it applied to Jesus Christ and to Yahweh

He is a Jewel Beyond Compare:

“ who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it” (Matt 13:46 NKJV).
In the parable of the pearl of great price, Jesus Christ presented himself as the highest and priceless jewelry on earth which everyone must go for.

He is the Only Saviour:

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 NKJV). In salvation, there is no other name both in heaven and on earth, through which one can be saved except the name Jesus Christ. At the mention of His name, every kneel must bow and every tongue must confess that he is the Lord.

He is the Foundation:

“For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 3:10-11 NKJV). The foundation to our faith is on Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. No one can obtain salvation (deliverance from sin) through the name of any congregation, or the name of the founder of any religion.

Paul’s Estimate of Jesus Christ:

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ (Phil 3:8 NKJV). Paul’s knowledge which he gained through experience, transformed his entire being. Paul’s new life, if compared with the former was far better. His former life was worthless and despicable.

He is Priceless to Believers:

“Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone," (1 Peter 2:7 NKJV).

READ 1 PETER 2:4-7 FROM BIBLE in BASIC ENGLISH

"To whom you come, as to a living stone, not honored by men, but of great and special value to God(Ps 118:22; Mt 21:42; Ac 4:11); You, as living stones, are being made into a house of the spirit, a holy order of priests, making those offerings of the spirit which are pleasing to God through Jesus Christ (Isa 61:6; 66:21; Ho 14:2; Mal 1:11; Ro 12:1; Eph 2:21-22; Php 4:18; Heb 3:6; 13:15-16; 1Pe 2:9; 4:1). Because it is said in the Writings, See, I am placing a keystone in Zion, of great and special value; and the man who has faith in him will not be put to shame (Isa 28:16; Ro 9:33). And the value is for you who have faith; but it is said for those without faith, The very stone which the builders put on one side, was made the chief stone of the building" (Ps 118:22; Mt 21:42; Ac 4:11).
